Common Trading Issues & Fixes
Even in the world of decentralized finance, things don’t always go smoothly. On Bitiness, most trading issues are easily resolved — and in this guide, we’ll show you how to fix the most common ones yourself.
❌ 1. Transaction Failed or Reverted
What It Means: Your transaction didn’t go through, and no tokens were swapped.
Common Causes:
Low slippage tolerance
Insufficient gas fees
Outdated wallet or pending approvals
Fix:
Increase slippage (try 2%–3%)
Check your gas fee settings (select “Medium” or “Fast” in your wallet)
Approve the token first if it’s your first time swapping it
Make sure you're using the correct network (BNB Chain)
⏳ 2. Pending Transaction Stuck for Too Long
What It Means: Your transaction is submitted but not confirmed.
Common Causes:
Network congestion
Low gas price
Multiple queued transactions
Fix:
Open your wallet (MetaMask or Trust Wallet)
Find the stuck transaction and click “Speed Up” or “Cancel”
If it can’t be canceled, reset your wallet's nonce (MetaMask: Settings → Advanced → Reset Account)
🔁 3. Swap Not Executing at Expected Rate
What It Means: The amount of tokens received differs from your preview.
Common Causes:
Slippage too tight
High volatility
Low liquidity (especially before Bitiness pools are launched)
Fix:
Check slippage tolerance and adjust higher if needed
Wait for less volatile market conditions
Review token price on trusted aggregators like DexTools or CoinMarketCap
🔄 4. "Insufficient Output Amount" Error
What It Means: The amount of tokens received is below the minimum you allowed (based on your slippage).
Fix:
Increase your slippage tolerance
Try breaking your swap into smaller amounts
Refresh the page and re-connect your wallet
⚠️ 5. "Approve Token" Not Working
What It Means: Your wallet isn’t letting Bitiness interact with the token.
Fix:
Confirm the approval transaction manually in your wallet
Make sure you have enough BNB to cover gas
Refresh the dApp and reconnect your wallet
Clear browser cache or try a different browser
🔄 6. Tokens Not Showing in Wallet After Swap
What It Means: The swap was successful, but you don’t see the new tokens in your wallet.
Fix:
Add the token manually using its contract address
Go to BscScan, search for the token, and copy the address
Open your wallet → “Import Token” → Paste the address
🧼 General Troubleshooting Tips
Always ensure you're on the BNB Smart Chain
Keep enough BNB in your wallet for fees
Try disconnecting and reconnecting your wallet
Use supported wallets (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or use WalletConnect)
Avoid having multiple tabs of Bitiness open
